Do your products use Kevlar?

Kevlar is one of the three cut-resistant fibres commonly used in chainsaw protection. We do not use Kelvar in any of our products. Kevlar or Para-aramid has a limited useful life as it degrades over time. Some other disadvantages of Kevlar include lack of flex resistance, poor UV resistance, and weight. We use UHMWPE (brand names include Dyneema and Spectra) in our Arrestex HP fabric. UHMWPE is one-third lighter, more flexible, and has twice the cut resistance of Kevlar based on our testing. Arrestex FR uses Polyarylate (Brand name Vectran), which has many of the advantages of UHMWPE but has high melting points so it can be used in FR applications.
