Chainsaw protective apparel is complex requiring heavy-duty equipment and a lot of labour to manufacture them. The materials are expensive also. Standard chainsaw fabric is high cost, meaning technical chainsaw fabrics that offer less weight are even more expensive. Chainsaw protective apparel also uses many technical fabrics to form the outer shell, these come at a high-cost.
All chainsaw protective apparel needs to be annually certified to a standard, another ongoing cost which is not insignificant.
Our factory employs staff that are well-paid, each of them experienced machinists who handcraft each garment. We don't employ child labour or slave labour.
Freight and duties are also covered in the price that is charged.
To sum up, the cost comes from a combination of expensive fabrics, well-paid labour, freight and duties.
With all that said there are different options at different price points though that meet different user needs.
