What is the difference between the Zero Gen2 and Zero Ultra chainsaw pants?

The Zero Ultra pants are an upgraded, premium version of the Zero Gen2, designed with added features for improved ventilation, durability, and functionality. Both pants offer lightweight chainsaw protection, but the Zero Ultra is Clogger’s most advanced climbing pant.

Key Differences

Ventilation: The Zero Ultra features 4 mesh panels (compared to 2 on the Gen2) to create better cross-flow airflow, keeping you cooler in hot conditions. These panels are also made from tick-proof material.

Improved Outer Thigh Material: The Zero Ultra uses super tough and breathable Cordura® ripstop material for enhanced durability.

Ultra-High Tear Strength Dyneema© Fabric: Reinforced on both lower legs for increased durability in high-wear areas. The Gen2 version has this fabric on the right leg only.

Pocket Upgrades: The Zero Ultra features larger pockets, a new back pocket, and an upgraded phone pocket with a zip closure for extra security. The inside fabric of the pockets has been upgraded to a more breathable nylon material for added comfort.

Scannable© Technology: Built-in NFC chip allows for secure PPE management, helping with compliance and tracking.

Suspender Loops: The Zero Ultra includes loops for attaching loop-on suspenders, improving weight distribution and reducing waist bulk compared to wearing both clipped suspenders and a belt.

Ankle Cinch Tabs: Added for a more secure and adjustable fit, giving the wearer better control while using foot ascenders to prevent rope suck.

While both pants are great options, the Zero Ultra has been designed with all your feedback in mind, providing you with the best climbing chainsaw pant available.
